Here’s the tentative schedule for our 2019-2020 season. Stay tuned for more information on the season’s presentations, lectures, workshops, competitions shortly. We hope to see all of you back for our 66th season which runs from September 2019 to June 2020! After each meeting, many club members head on over for some shooting at the Botanical Gardens (it’s just across the street!) or the Zoo, or to a local restaurant so consider joining us for that too! Each month we have a monthly photo competition where members compete in their group (open to all subject matter) and can also compete in our monthly theme competition, black-and-white competition and our Altered Reality (manipulated image) competition. All meetings unless otherwise specified start at 9:45am at the Fordham Preparatory School on the Rose Hill campus of Fordham University, Bronx.

Saturday, Oct. 19 Presentation by Kathy Baca
We’re thrilled to present a talk by Kathy Baca.
Photography is a family affair at the Macpherson House. My great grandfather was Robert Turnbull Macpherson, who was a wonderful architectural photographer in the early 1800’s. My grandfather, Robert Macpherson, established a portrait photography studio in Lynbrook circa 1890. It was name “Inverurie” after his beloved country home in Scotland. I have had a passion for photography since I could hold a Brownie. I love all venues of photography, but particularly enjoy Nature and Macro.
Please feel free to visit, and view my work on Flickr under Kathy Macpherson Baca. I judge a worldwide group on Facebook called Reflections From the Camera. I was at the NECCC displaying insects for a macro workshop. As much as the art of photography – it is a immense pleasure to teach. This is the most enjoyable aspect of this craft for me. To see someone’s face light up seeing and learning more ……is priceless.
Photography should be fun. That .. is my mantra. If people are not having fun learning, and evolving – you’ve not given them a legacy.
